Directories submissions

Postby webdanger on Tue Feb 03, 2009 12:36 pm

I wonder what are the benefits of that, i started doing that when i started my webmaster early days and i end up getting over ranked by the same directories for my main kws in G.

It was the actual submission text I've write that was on the no2 spots in the listings. So whats the point on doing that? I can change the anchor but how is this beneficial to me if i don't go with my main kws as anchors?

Man that's a big subject to cover. Linking your sites all over the place can be a great thing if done right. When properly excuted, having your site linked to other sites can be of great benefit to you.

I personally have my own sex directory on my portal, but instead of having 7,000 links like other directories, I only have about 350+. I am very selective of what I allow in there. This has proven to be very beneficial to me. Just check my portal's ranking in Alexa. Site was created in September last year only.

Yes, i got the point from the directory point of view, and you have all the benefits of that. I was trying to find out about submitters, of course is a good thing having multiple submissions on many directories but what happens when you get overpowered but this dir's? whats the point of submitting as this will harm your main objective that is SE listings.

I mean do I have to write good description and go with my main keywords or just with a weaker kw just ot get a link back, but if i do that i can't get my main kw as an anchor so i won't get the same result i was looking for before submitting!

Any opinion is more than welcomed
