Navigation Link Status Indication

Postby sabaidii2 on Thu Jun 16, 2011 12:30 am

Problem:
It is easy for the Surfer to not realize whether the page being displayed is either "Online Models" or "All Models" because there is no Mode Indicator on the Navigation Link Bar. This becomes important when performing a Search for a model (i.e., offline models won't be found when the mode = Online Models).

Solution:
Highlight the Mode that is being shown to make it obvious to the Surfer.
Or maybe add a title at the top: Online Models or All Models

Question:
Why would anyone search for a model who is already online? After all, if you know the model's name, you could display the page in alphabetical order.

Hello, page title appears in the browser tab and top bar (metat title of the page) the surfer normally should easily determine on what page he is - but you are right an highlight of the active page or/and an inpage title should make things more clear.

About your question, is faster to find the model name you are looking for by using the search box. Test for yourself.
